We are delighted to announce some exciting changes at Weduc!

  • Weduc has received a six-figure investment from Foresight Group, a specialist private equity investment manager.
  • Weduc’s former parent company, Accrosoft, has been acquired by US company, Acendre, whose CEO co-founded Xbox.
  • Weduc will continue as a stand-alone company focused on the EdTech market.

Weduc goes from strength to strength! Our latest news means that we can invest further in developing our school communications platform and fulfilling our mission to make life easier for hard-working school staff.

Weduc was originally founded in 2017 under its parent company, Accrosoft, whose product Vacancy Filler is one of the UK's leading Applicant Tracking Systems. Accrosoft has recently been acquired by US company, Acendre, whose CEO is Otto Berkes, co-founder of Xbox.

As Weduc blossoms into a stand-alone company, it has been boosted by a six-figure sum investment from Foresight, a specialist private equity investment manager.

To celebrate the news, the Weduc team returned to one of our first ever customers in our home town of Loughborough: Cobden primary school. We were joined by Jane Hunt MP, and used the opportunity to reflect on how we have helped schools during the recent challenging times.

Daniel Woodcock, Managing Director of Weduc said:

“These are exciting times for Weduc. We have grown rapidly and now, with new focus and the investment from Foresight, we are able to execute our ambitious plans to revolutionise the school communications market.

“Weduc has always been about understanding schools and their communities. Our team are all rooted in the education world and are dedicated to finding solutions to schools’ problems. Initially that meant saving schools time and money as they moved from paper to electronic communication. But now it’s about bringing all their disparate systems under one roof.

“Our customer base has increased dramatically over the past year as schools and parents all realise the power of the Weduc system.”

“The acquisition of our former parent company, Accrosoft, by a leading tech company in the US illustrates the pedigree of our roots. At the heart of both companies has been a passion for technology combined with a genuine understanding of the challenges our customers face.”

Carl Saunders, Headteacher, Cobden Primary School, said:

“Weduc has been our school communications partner for several years. Their school app helps ensure that everyone in our school community is fully engaged and up to date. This was particularly useful during the Covid lockdowns when we also used them for remote parents’ evenings. We are proud to be supporting a local business and wish them well as they start this next exciting stage of growth.”

Loughborough MP, Jane Hunt, said:

“I welcome this investment in Weduc, one of Loughborough’s leading software companies. I’ve watched them grow over the years in partnership with Accrosoft and wish both companies well as they move into this next, exciting phase of their growth. Such investment highlights how Loughborough has the local talent, infrastructure and connections needed to make it a great place to do business. That such success is partly down to the support from local schools just goes to show what a fantastic local community we have, with everyone pulling together for the good of the area.”

As the Weduc team expands, we are looking for more staff to join us. Find out more on our careers page
